Skin Surgery Associates of London is a private dermatology practice in the heart of London. Our experienced dermatologists provide treatment across three core sub-specialties – surgical dermatology including Mohs surgery for skin cancer, cutaneous laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology. As dermatologists, we pride ourselves in combining diagnostic skill with expert skin interventions in a relaxed, compassionate environment. Having qualified in Johannesburg, he performed his postgraduate general medical training at Hammersmith Hospital and the Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London. He entered UK dermatology as Research Fellow to Professor Malcolm Greaves and has an MD (in physical urticarias) from the University of London. After completing general dermatology training at St John’s Institute of Dermatology in St Thomas’s Hospital, he spent a year as Fellow in Advanced Dermatologic and Mohs Surgery to Dr Neil Swanson in Portland, Oregon.

Since 1996, he has been a Consultant Dermatologist at St John’s Institute of Dermatology (now at Guy’s Campus) and more recently to the Joint Tumour Service at Moorfields Eye Hospital.  His clinical and research interests include skin cancer management, including Mohs’ surgery, cutaneous laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology. He was the founding President of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group and was President of the St John's Dermatology Society (2009/10).

He sees patients at the Chelsea Outpatient Centre and the Sydney Street Outpatient Centre.

Dr Clare Kiely is a consultant dermatologist, dermatological and laser surgeon with over 10 year’s experience treating skin disease.

Originally from Ireland, Dr Kiely graduated from University College Dublin with an honours degree in Medicine and Surgery.  She completed her postgraduate specialist medical training to become a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Her 5-year specialist training in all aspects of dermatology enabled her to join the specialist GMC register as a Consultant Dermatologist. After completing specialist training in dermatology, she undertook two prestigious Fellowships at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, the first in skin cancer and the second in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Laser Surgery. She specialises in the management of skin cancer, Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous lasers.

She has presented nationally and internationally on skin cancer, skin surgery, lasers and cosmetic dermatology. She currently performs around 500 cases of complex Mohs surgery every year and is responsible for the training of international and national fellows in Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Dr Kiely also has a Masters Degree in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine and is an Executive Board member of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group. 

She sees patients at the Chelsea Outpatient Centre and the Sydney Street Outpatient Centre.

Dr Rakesh Anand is a Consultant Dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at the St John’s institute of Dermatology, Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital. He has expertise in all areas of general and cosmetic dermatology, with a specialist interest in skin cancer and skin surgery. He is also Honorary Consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Dr Anand trained at University College London Medical School before completing speciality training in some of London’s most distinguished hospitals including University College London, the Royal London, and the Royal Free. He then completed a prestigious fellowship in Mohs micrographic and laser surgery at the world-renowned St John's Institute of Dermatology. He is a member of the British Association of Dermatology, the British Society for Dermatological Surgery, and the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group and continues to play an active role in dermatological research, for which he has won multiple awards.
                   
Throughout his career Dr Anand has been praised by both colleagues and patients for his attention to detail in delivering the best patient care possible. Patients also speak highly of his sensitive and approachable manner during consultations. He is passionate about helping his patients achieve and maintain optimum skin health and takes a holistic approach to do this, which is informed by training in psychology and behavioural neuroscience. 

He sees patients at the One Welbbeck and the Chelsea Outpatient Centre.
